Founded by Ar. Rimsha Mehmood, The Urban Habitat is a multidisciplinary design practice specializing in architecture, landscape, interior design, and turnkey solutions. Based in Islamabad and working across Pakistan, we approach every project with a simple belief: a space should feel as though it belongs exactly where it stands.
Our process begins long before design drawings take shape. We spend time observing the site, understanding its natural character, and listening to what already exists. The movement of the wind, the contours of the land, the presence of mature trees, and the relationship between built and natural environments all become part of the design conversation.
Rather than imposing ideas onto a site, we create spaces that are guided by context and experience. We believe architecture should not compete with its surroundings—it should respond to them. This philosophy allows us to craft environments that feel balanced, timeless, and deeply connected to the people who inhabit them.
